For some reason, their sparkling eyes that were gazing at me suddenly shifted to Reina.
Surely, seeing a gathering of these beautiful elves is a dream-like spectacle.
They formed a circle and started to whisper to one another for a while.
After that, they broke up the circle and turned to me all at once.
“-!”
I was startled when they suddenly kneeled with both knees on the ground and bowed their heads.
They are prostrating at me. It was such an unsual display of respect.
But…
“W, what are you guys doing!?”
“Liam-sama.”
Their representative, Reina, started talking while her head is still on the ground.
“We implore you… please become our leader.”
“Leader?”
“Yes. I believe it’s called ‘King’ in human terms…”
“Me… becoming your king?”
I don’t understand the nonsense that they’re spouting but still… this is unexpected in more ways than one.
“Yes. Become our king and guide us on our path.”
“…”
“We beg you!”
“We beg you!”
Now l, the other elves are also begging me.
“If you become our king, we will do anything.”
“Hmmm…”
I can feel the weight of her words.
It really felt like they will be willing to do anything for me.
…and I can feel Reina and the others peeking at me from time to time.
It seems that they are curious as to how I would react.
I could even see them raising their heads a bit to look at me.
“…”
They are really serious about this.
After experiencing abductions, they are seriously thinking how to move forward.
I have to answer their expectations… and… rejection is not an option, huh.
“Understood. A king is a bit far fetched so let’s say that I’m your leader starting today.”
Even I know that it’s dangerous to hastily call oneself a king.
“Are you sure!?”
“Yes.”
“Thank you very much!”
“Thank you very much!”
All of them happily thanked me.
After agreeing to be their Leader, the elves stood up again.
So, let’s focus on the matter at hand.
“Now that it has come to this, we need a land. A land for all of you to live in.”
I brought them here in the spur of the moment but this is Hamilton’s… my father’s land.
I’ve successfully transfered them here without a problem but it’s not possible to build a village here.
The problem is… where to find such a land.
Now, what should I do? This is really a problem that needs a thorough solution.
And that solution came from an unexpected place.
*
I was training my magic inside the forest for 4 days, continuously.
It’s one of the first magic that Ladon had given me, a high-grade sacred magic.
I’d been training it nonstop hoping that I could somewhat manage to activate it. But, it’s already been 4 days and there’s still no sign of activation.
The elves watched me as I train every day.
I also provided them with instant noodles in large quantities while they are waiting.
It was such a dull life and before we know it, 4 days had already passed.
I always tried my best in feeling the flow of magic within my body to activate the magic that Ladon had given me.
(Your patience is truly remarkable.)
“Eh?”
(You did a good job on persevering, is what I’m trying to say.)
“Why?”
(Hm?)
“If I do it over and over again, I’m sure that I could learn it. There’s no reason to stop trying.”
(…fu…fufufu. You really are interesting, human.)
Ladon just laughed inside my head.
It seems like, he’s in a good mood.
I don’t know what he finds so funny but there’s no problem in enjoying oneself from time to time so I left him be.
Then half a day had passed…
“Oh, here it comes!”
I can feel the activation of magic.
(The only thing to worry about is where you should go. What about your phantom?”
“It already arrived.”
Since I also had to prepare the meals earlier, I confirmed the existence of the letter from my phantom through the [Item Box].
Its content should be about
his completed task that I gave him the other day.
“Alright… Reina.”
“Yes!”
I called for Reina who’s been by my side for these past 4 days.
“Gather up everyone.”
“Understood. Everyone, gather up–!”
Although the Leader is me, I gave the job of implementing orders to Reina.
On her call, the other elves that were scattered around the forest had returned.
She counted all of them.
After confirming that everyone’s present, she turned and nodded to me.
They’re all lining up in front of me.
“Alright. Let’s do this… High-grade sacred magic: [Teleport]!”
I pin-pointed the destination in my mind and activated the final stage of the magic.
In an instant, the view in front of our eyes had changed.
We were inside the forest just a while ago but now, a plain we’ve never seen before came to view.
“Here is…”
I glanced at my surroundings…
(This place is a hundred kilometer away from that land. It’s called the ‘Sealed Land’.)
“I’m surprised… you really came here in an instant.”
The one who talked was my phantom.
We’re apart just by a few meters so I could see his fatigue from travelling for 4 days straight.
This is High-Grade Sacred Magic: [Teleport].
By using large amounts of magic power, it enables you to move from one place to another, as long as the destination is a place you’ve been to before.
I used my phantom to travel to this land, then I will use [Teleport] to move the elves here.
The plan was a success.
This is the true instant movement.
“This magic… I have to master it at all cost…”
I’m happy to have found a land for the elves, but I’m more thrilled by the fact that I can move through 100 kilometers in an instant.
Translator and Editor Notes :
So, as you guys who have already read the raws noticed (if there is), I altered some lines and omitted some so it will be more engaging. I hope it suits you guys.
I don’t find any interesting thing about hard work that should be appreciated. Ladon just assumes that every human other than Liam is a lazy piece of ass.
Also, it’s narcissist of you to make your Phantom praise yourself, and considering how the magic works, his phantom should not be there at all. I mean, their memories are separated after all so it should not count as Liam being there. The magic concept’s all messed up.
