We reached the entrance to the main building. The four of us were standing with our backs against the wall around the entrance door.
It is speculated that there may be as many as twenty or thirty bandits in the Building.
I just wanted more detailed enemy information if possible.
” Is that snoring, I wonder? “
Certainly, if you listen carefully, you will hear a snoring voice from inside the building.
“Maybe so. I’m going to listen.”
Mii told us in a whisper and leaned her ear on the door.
It is truly a skill not make a single creak on an old door.
“Someone seems to be there right after entering. I can hear someone or something snoring.”
I hear the report and start thinking.
This area is as planned.
There are two reasons why we stayed overnight on the road all the way to arrive here at sunrise.
The first one is that if you leave the city in the morning and visit here at night, you will need to turn on a torchlight to walk in the dark.
Even if camouflage spell makes us harder to notice, its effects are limited.
If in the middle of the night something shines on the road, the danger of drawing attention is still high.
And another reason is that if we arrive early in the morning, more people would still be sleeping than during the day or later.
The results are as expected as can be seen from Mii’s report.
“But I don’t know if anyone is awake. I can’t hear them.”
I’m going to think more about those words.
As a premise of the way of thinking, it can be said that it is a complete foolish plan to collide head-on with two or three dozen bandits with four new adventurers.
We need to move forward stealthily as much as we can.
Considering the difference in forces it would be appropriate to think that the majority of the bandits would rank from G to F if the monster ranking was used to represent them.
As humans they have a better physique than Goblins, and weapons used are unlikely to be just a thick wooden stick picked by around him.
It is expected that most of them have enough lethal power, such as a spear or an ax, so the threat level is high in that respect.
However, those who have received professional training are not a lot, and their skill is on the level of thugs who can quarrel at best.
The average of their skill should be somewhat lower than the average F rank adventurers, who would most likely have been trained to be adventurers.
However, some of them should be able to put up a fight.
If there are a few of them they may be in the higher ranks of the bandits.
The leader are probably about F rank.
I think that other bandits should be a G-grade threat level.
This rating is one level higher than that of general goblins that are H rank.
On the other hand Mii and Cyril said that they had only minimal training in weapon combat, so their ability as a warrior should about F rank.
This is still good enough to be considered non-specialized, but it is certainly not at a level that will allow you to fight against many bandits.
And I’m out of the picture in terms of weapons combat.
My weapons don’t have any lethality, and I am not trained to do so.
Satsuki is an extraordinary figure, and her ability as a warrior is at least D rank at this stage, and is worth C rank depending on the persons point of view.
She is capable of fighting at close combat even if eight to sixteen bandits are facing her at the same time.
However, Filia, who now has her body is just a village girl, and is unknown how much her fighting ability will be reduced.
However, she is confident that she will be able to use most of her power so I think that she can be assumed at the D-rank for combat ability for the time being.
There may be some instability in the mental part, so it needs to be accounted for.
The first thing we need to think about is how to deal with the bandits near the entrance.
It’s hard to believe that all of the bandits are gathering there, but according to the information that Mii has provided, there are at least a few.
If all of them were asleep, we would be able to sneak around without having to use a sleep spell, but if there are several people awake, this can be tedious depending on how the situation develops.
If they go to call the others and the situation develops into a total war situation then all the plans we prepared will collapse at that point.
“Mmm, in this case, we may have to bet on everyone sleeping and try to sneak in.”
“I don’t know. Rather, it might be less risky for everyone to attack at once.”
Mii and Cyril discuss each other in a whisper, and then their eyes turn to me.
“William, I want to know what’s going on inside. Can’t you use the Wizard Eye that you used for the Goblins?”
Mii asks that, but it’s hardly a good idea.
“No, the Wizard Eye can’t get through doors and walls. Which means you need to open the door. And the Wizard Eye is a relatively high-level spell. If so, it would be more effective to use see-through . ”
“Mm, yeah. Then, if you only used the Wizard Eye, then it would be better for Me to look in secret … eh?”
She was thinking about it, but stopped in the middle of talking due to my comment.
“Using see-through. This is also a high-level spell, so it consumes some mana, but in this situation it’s worth it.”
I answered and started Spellcasting.
See-through is a spell that allows you to ignore obstacles such as walls that are within the effect range and “see” through to the other side.
The range of effect is to the extent that it completely sees the hall in front of us,which means we can see all the hall from here.
It wasn’t perfect because we couldn’t get any audio information, but once we had a complete picture of the whole thing, we can start planing with the new information.
“In front of this door is a hall. There are six men, all lying on the ground sleeping. It’s like they just eat and drink every day well, that’s a good thing.”
When I reported it with my feelings, Mii and Cyril looked vacantly at me.
