When we walked for a while, we could see a shape of a building from between the trees.
We approach carefully and hide in the shade to see what’s going on.
At the entrance one man, who seemed to be the gatekeeper, was standing with a spear in his hand.
He was standing half-upright with his back against the gate.
“Mii, can you go?”
“Yes, No problem”
When she heard me, she smiled with confidence and headed alone to the gatekeeper.
She unsheathes the dagger from her waist along the way, carefully and quickly from the opponent’s blind spot she narrows the distance.
And the girl eventually disappeared between the trees and from my eyes.
The next time she came into view was after a dozen seconds.
Suddenly she appeared at the side of the gatekeeper, approaching the target in a natural and fast-moving glide, and ripped off his neck with a dagger in her hands without any commotion.
Blood erupted from the gatekeeper’s neck, and the he fell down.
She beckons at us from front of the gate.
We joined her at the signal.
“Definitely, it’s a stunning performance.”
When I said that and put my hand on Mii’s head, the beast girl became shy with her ears flat.
And then she went straight to check the gate.
On the other hand, Satsuki was breathing roughly beside the gatekeeper corpse.
“What’s the matter, Filia. Wan’t to quit?”
When she heard that, Filia shook her head.
“That’s not the case. I’ll never forgive them. I have to kill them all.”
Filia/Satsuki stands resolute.
She seems to be ready.
Killing a person is something that needs a lot of thinking about.
There is a difference of values between good and evil and physiological resistance, but at least with regard to the latter it can be eliminated.
Killing a goblin is different.
But the reality of this violence is that if you live in a rampant world, you become numb to taking lives and lost ones.
Just as monsters, it would be simple to treat them as “enemy”, especially for bandits who murdered your own family.
“Okay. We’ll also support the client, Filia. ── Mii, is the gate door open?”
Looking at Mii who was examining the door, she shook her head.
“No, there is a bar applied from the other side.”
The gate, made of a stone fence and a large wooden door, doesn’t have a keyhole, but it seems that even a thief could not open it.
Then I tried to cast the unlock spell.
With this spell, you can use a mana to open the door by itself, even if it is a gate with a bar.
With that in mind, I tried to start spellcasting.
” Wait a moment.”
When Mii said that, she used her dexterity and climbed up the gate.
Then, she jumped silently from the top of the fence to the other side, she removed the bar and opened the door from inside.
“I’m sorry to keep you waiting, Here you go.”
Like a butler, Mii greeted us from beyond the door.
…They’re really good teammates. It is possible to save Mana thanks to this.
As I pass by Mii, I put my hand on her head and stroked her head.
“Mii is really amazing. I’m impressed.”
“Fu….nya”
She was just like a cat, with her cat’s ears fluttering and her tail shaking as she purred.
I release my hand from her head, thinking that this adorableness is likely to capture men all over the world.
“Nyan, that’s right.”
After receiving Cyril cold eyes, Mii regains her seriousness.
We went through the courtyard to the main building.
